Magnesia screed (also magnesite flooring) was used as a floor coating before 1900 wood-beamed ceilings. The technology is sustainable and can the environmental cycle after use return.

 The term "magnesite flooring" is due to the then customary use of wood chips as a supplement in the material core. The modern version is woodless !
In the postwar period 1945 and up to the 70s in East Germany disappeared with wood-beamed ceilings, the technology of "stone-wood screeds".
